A Family Dream Takes Shape
Welcome to Swaad Walaa, where purity meets tradition — and where one humble sweet tells a heartfelt story.
We are Asif Ahmedi and Ruhi Perween, a couple who began this journey in July 2025, united by one strong belief:
“What we serve should be as pure as our intentions.”
From our own home kitchen, we began crafting handmade Aloo Barfi — a soft, sweet, desi ghee delight inspired by our childhood memories and traditional recipes.
No preservatives. No machines. No shortcuts.
Just pure ingredients, slow cooking, and the same love with which our dadi-nani made sweets for the family.
This isn’t just a business for us.
It’s our mission to bring real Indian mithaas back to life — one piece of barfi at a time, from our home to yours.
When a Child Asked, We Found Our Calling
The Spark of Purpose
Just a year ago, one small, innocent moment changed everything for us.
One evening, while preparing Aloo Barfi in our home kitchen, our 2-year-old child pointed at the barfi tray and softly asked:
“Mumma, yeh barfi me kuch galat toh nahi hai na?”
That simple question stopped us in our tracks.
In that moment, we saw what food had become — full of shortcuts, preservatives, and ingredients we couldn’t even pronounce. And worse, we saw the doubt in our child’s eyes — the doubt we never had growing up, when food came from our dadi or nani’s hands.
We looked at each other and knew:
If we can’t trust what we serve our own child, how can we serve it to anyone else?
That moment became the birth of Swaad Walaa —
our promise to make handmade, preservative-free Aloo Barfi,
using only what we’d proudly serve at our own family table.
